This is the heavy one. A thick shell, a full sherpa lining and a straight zip up the front — the Sestriere is built for the stretch of winter where style is negotiable but warmth is not, and it manages to look composed while doing it.

The colours help: ochre and khaki carry a mountain-lodge warmth, while black, brown and gray keep it sober enough for a city commute. Wear it over a heavy knit, collar up, and it will see out the coldest month you have.
